Spring 2017 . We chose the Greenhouse as a backdrop for our group photo.

Dr, Sheaza Ahmed

Sheaza produced the first genetic evidence that polyamines control flowering. Her research has included the localization of 7 enzymes involved in polyamine synthesis and  transport.  We will miss her.

Menaka Ariyaratne

Menaka's expertise in HPLC analysis and functional has made her a central player on our two  recent papers in Plant Science. Look for her to expand her horizons in new directions.

Chandra Sarkar

Chandra went with me to the Omycete meetings in Asilomar CA March 2017 to present her findings on codon bias across oomycete proteins.

Andrew Wagner

As an undergrad in our lab Andrew screened a collection of Pseudomonas strains to identify several candidates that are potent inhibitors of P. sojae and four Pythium strains that are pathogenic on soybeans.  Andy has moved on to the University of Tenn.

Nilanjana Chakrabarti

Nilanjana has functionally characterized a new class of polyamine transporters in oomycetes that belong to a family that we will call Transporters of Putrescine and Spermidine (TOPAS).

Comimg Soon
